How To Care For Your Microbladed Brows
Microblading from Fountain Aesthetic Artistry makes the creation of perfect eyebrows possible, but to ensure that you get the naturally beautiful looking brows you want, you must follow the Microblading Aftercare Instructions.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN SCARRING, INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION.

IT USUALLY TAKES ABOUT 7-10 DAYS FOR THE SKIN TO HEAL. HOWEVER, YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THE AFTERCARE GUIDELINES UNTIL YOUR SKIN IS COMPLETELY HEALED. YOUR SKIN IS HEALED WHEN ALL FLAKING AND/OR SCABBING IS GONE.

IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING TREATMENT:
With medium pressure, blot the area with a clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 minutes until oozing has stopped, however long that takes. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymph, thus helping to prevent scabbing. Blotting is key!

DAY 1-10 (or until peeling/scabbing stops):
-
Gently rinse your eyebrows each morning and night with water and a gentle soap (ex. Dial, baby shampoo, Cetaphil). With a very light touch, use your clean fingertips to gently cleanse the eyebrows in a smooth, outward motion for 5-10 seconds and rinse with water ensuring that all soap is rinsed away. To dry, gently pat with a clean towel or tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants.
-
We believe healing with little to no aftercare ointment is best! You should only apply the A&D Ointment if you are extremely itchy and uncomfortable. If so, you can apply a rice grain size amount of A&D Ointment with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area as needed. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the ointment on wet or damp brows.
-
Do not rub or pick at your brows. This can cause scarring, blurring, and/or infection. Should there be any scabbing, let it flake off naturally.
-
Aside from your daily gentle washes as noted above, do not let your brows be soaked with water until healed (ex. bath tub, pool, or hot tub). When washing your face, wash around the brow area. Showers are fine but limit them to five minutes to prevent too much steam around the brow area.
-
Avoid excessive sweating, facials, chemical treatments, and Botox until your brows are healed.
-
Do not allow makeup, lotions, or other products to touch the treated area. No brow makeup until healed!
-
Avoid sleeping on your stomach or in any position that rubs the microbladed area against a pillow or blanket while healing as this can push the pigment out of the skin.
-
Stay out of direct sunlight and tanning booths. You can go outside of course, but avoid being out in direct sun until your brows are healed. If you are going to be outside, wear a hat that shields your brows from the sun until you're healed. Once healed always apply sunscreen.
-
Consult a physician if you have ANY signs of infection, which could include red streaking outside the brow area (aside from the first few hours after your appointment), foul smell, green or yellow discharge, and/or fever.

Microblading Healing Process

TRUST THE PROCESS
Healed microblading results are the most beautiful and natural looking way to enhance eyebrows, but the path leading to those anticipated healed results can be a little bit surprising. In addition to following the microblading after care instructions, understanding the microblading healing process is essential in avoiding undue worry and stress while going through the different stages of healing.
There are stages of the healing process that can cause many, especially those who aren’t prepared with what to expect, to wonder if eyebrow microblading was a mistake. To help reduce the drama, the microblading healing process is described below:
