Before Microblading Eyebrows

Microblading results create amazing looking eyebrows, however the procedure is not recommended for everyone. To prevent any complications relating to your overall well-being, please review all the information below including microblading requirements, who may not be a candidate, and medications to avoid before your appointment.

Proper preparation for a microblading appointment will also help you to achieve the best possible healed results, so be sure to actively prepare by perhaps putting a reminder in your phone about what you will need to abstain from.

Appointments typically last 2-2.5 hours; babies or children cannot be present during your appointment, so please make necessary arrangements in advance.

Please come to your appointment wearing your makeup as you normally do, especially your brow makeup.  By doing so, it helps in communicating the desired color and shape preference of your eyebrows.

REQUIREMENTS BEFORE EYEBROW MICROBLADING

  • Absolutely no alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before your appointment.

  • No blood thinners such as ibuprofen, aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil or other vitamins unless medically necessary 72 hours before. All of these items thin the blood and causes bleeding which pushes the pigment out of the skin and will compromise your results. Tylenol is acceptable.

  • Do not workout or sweat heavily the day of your procedure or for 2 weeks after - it expands the pores and increases blood flow.

  • No intentional tanning 2 weeks prior.  If you arrive with a sunburn, you will be asked to reschedule and forfeit your deposit. Please consider this if booking after a vacation.

  • Any facials, microdermabrasion, or dermaplaning must be done 2 weeks prior.

  • Botox and fillers around the eyes and forehead must be done at least 2 weeks prior to the procedure and no sooner than 2 weeks after. These treatments change the position of the brows compromising results if they haven’t “settled”.

  • Discontinue Vitamin A, Retinols, and Retin-A  4 weeks prior to treatment – these will cause the pigment to fade faster.

  • Chemical peels must be done at least 60 days prior because the chemicals travel under the skin and will fade your eyebrows.

  •

IF YOU COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT AND DID NOT FOLLOW THE PRE-PROCEDURE PREP AND ARE DENIED SERVICE BECAUSE OF IT, YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT.
